Was Eva Longoria planning to have a bundle of joy with her ex-husband Tony Parker?
French entertainment magazine Closer is reporting that the “Desperate Housewives” actress had her eggs frozen and planned on getting pregnant when the hit show would come to an end.
According to the publication, producers of the series told Longoria that she could not get pregnant during the show.
“[She] decided to freeze her eggs in order to get pregnant at a moment when she thought would be a good time,” an insider told Closer.
The magazine, which also recently published photos of Longoria with what appears to be a small baby bump, says a source confirmed that she visited a fertility clinic in December since she is interested in finding a sperm donor in the hopes of starting her own family.
“She is capable of raising a child without a man by her side,” said the source. “She has the means and the desire. There is no doubt that she is ready.”
The source also told Closer magazine that Longoria is aware that at “37-year-old her chances of getting pregnant are 12 percent, which will become 6 percent when she turns 40.”
Since her divorce to Parker back in 2010, Longoria has been linked to Penélope Cruz’s kid brother Eduardo, as well as NY Jets’ Quarterback Mark Sanchez.
Longoria would not be the first Latina starlet to choose artificial insemination to start her family.
On Tuesday, Penélope Cruz’s younger sister, Monica, announced that she became pregnant invitro. Same for Mexican singer Ana Barbara recently gave birth to her son.
In March of last year, “Modern Family” star Sofía Vergara also opened up about freezing her eggs because she did not want her age to stop her from having children in a the future.
"I don't really care," Vergara told the publication about her decision to freeze her eggs.
“But doesn't that sound hideous? I remember thinking when my mom was 40 that she was already done."
