An unknown photo of Marilyn Monroe's graduation, when the actress was 15 years old, will be auctioned off Friday in the northern English town of Stockport.

The 20.3 x 60 cm (7 3/4 x 23 1/2 inches) panoramic photo shows the "blonde ambition" icon in 1941 surrounded by her classmates at Ralph Waldo Emerson Junior High School in Los Angeles, in which she is easily recognized.

The picture of the teenager, who in time became a model, actress and sex symbol, will go to the highest bidder at Omega Auctions in Stockport for an estimated price for 1,500 pounds ($2,405).

The group photo is signed on the back by many of the graduates who appear in it, but not by Norma Jean Baker, the real name of the star of "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and "Some Like it Hot." EFE
