U.S. photographer Spencer Tunick plans to do a Day of the Dead nude shoot during the Calacas Festival in San Miguel Allende, a city in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato.

The photograph will be taken on Sunday, Nov. 4, at a location near the city.

The image, which will be titled "Spirits," will feature nearly 300 people, festival organizer Sergio Martell told the press.

Tunick, who is famous for his large-scale nudes, shot his biggest photo, an image that featured about 18,000 people, in Mexico City's huge Zocalo plaza in 2007.

Festival organizers asked the photographer to do a special shoot to mark Day of the Dead, a holiday of special significance for Mexicans.

People interested in appearing in the photo must register on the festival's Web site and will receive a copy of the limited edition photograph. EFE
