LIMA – Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes will give three concerts in Peru in September and also visit the famed Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, organizers of the Movistar Musica 2012 tour said.
The pop star known for hits such as "Fijate bien" and "Me enamora" will perform in Lima on Sept. 12 at the National University of San Marcos' stadium.
He will then give two more shows - on Sept. 14 and 15 - at the beer gardens of the southern cities of Cuzco and Arequipa.
"During his stay in Perú, Juanes will take the chance to visit the citadel of Machu Picchu and enjoy Perú's gastronomy," organizers said in a press release.
Juanes, one of Latin America's most recognizable pop stars, has won 17 Latin Grammy Awards and one Grammy Award.
He recently released his first live album, titled Juanes MTV Unplugged. EFE
