Colombian pop star Shakira and Puerto Rican reggaeton headliner Tito el Bambino are the artists with the most nominations - six each - for Univision's 2012 Premio Lo Nuestro awards, to be presented in Miami next February.

Categories for which Shakira is nominated include Pop Female Artist of the Year, Pop Song of the Year, and Pop Album of the Year, while Tito el Bambino competes for the title of Tropical Male Artist of the Year, Tropical Song of the Year and Tropical Album of the Year.

According to a news release from the Hispanic channel, next on the list of most nominations with five each are the Mexican pop rock band Mana and the Dominican bachata singer-songwriter Prince Royce, whose discs "Drama y Luz" (Drama and Light) by Mana and "Prince Royce" by none other, have placed among the fans' favorites this year.

Competing in four categories are Ricky Martin, Natalia Jimenez, Wisin & Yandel, Alejandra Guzman, Don Omar and Larry Hernandez.

Juanes, Daddy Yankee, Gerardo Ortiz, Gloria Trevi, Intocable, Joan Sebastian, La Arrolladora Banda el Limon of Rene Camacho, Reik, Romeo Santos, Voz de Mando and Zoe are vying in three categories.

The 24th annual Premio Lo Nuestro awards will be held Feb. 16 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.

The awards honor the outstanding talent in 35 categories of Latin music and include the pop, tropical, regional Mexican, rock/alternative and urban styles.
