The song "El Mismo Sol" (The Same Sun) performed by Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez and which will be the official song of the 16th Pan American Games Guadalajara 2011, has debuted on radio stations in the United States, Universal Music Latino said.

The song vocalized by the 40-year-old Mexican singer was composed by famed Peruvian singer-songwriter Gianmarco Zignago and produced by Humberto Gatica, who, with eight Grammy Awards to his credit, has worked with such stars as Madonna, Celine Dion, Elton John, Michael Buble and Michael Jackson.

"El Mismo Sol" will be performed live for the first time on Oct. 14 at the opening ceremony of the Pan American Games, which will continue until Oct. 30 and is expected to have more than 5,000 athletes from across the Americas taking part.
