Spanish pop star Alejandro Sanz has announced the birth of his third child, a boy named Dylan, in a message on Twitter.

"And life made way amid siren songs ... and Dylan came into the world to save it from itself ... welcome," the 42-year-old singer-songwriter, a Latin Grammy Award- and Grammy Award-winning artist known for "Corazon partio" (Broken Heart) and many other hits, wrote.

Dylan is the first child from Sanz's relationship with his girlfriend and former assistant, Raquel Pereda.

Sanz was married until 2005 with Mexican model and actress Jaydy Michel and the two had a daughter, Manuela, together. He also fathered another son, Alexander, with Puerto Rican fashion designer Valeria Rivera.
