Singer Marc Anthony will kick off his U.S. tour on Sept. 1 in Minneapolis and tickets will go on sale this week, it was announced Thursday.

According to a communique from Cardenas Marketing Network, which is in charge of production for Anthony's current Latin American tour, tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.

"I am really excited about visiting some of my favorite cities on this tour. I can't wait to share my music with all my fans and partner one more time with CMN for my U.S. tour," Anthony said.

After Minneapolis, Anthony is scheduled to visit Allentown, Pennsylvania; East Rutherford, New Jersey; and Uncasville, Connecticut.

He will be in Miami on Sept. 16, going on from there to Orlando, Florida; San Diego and Oakland, California, and wrapping up his tour on Sept. 24 in Los Angeles.

Anthony has sold more than 12 million albums all over the world.

In May 2010, his most recent album "Iconos" went on sale. It features ballads in Spanish produced by Anthony and Julio Reyes, with eight numbers by his favorite balladeers and two original songs, both written jointly by Reyes and Anthony.

This summer, Anthony will return to the successful TNT television series "HawthoRNe."
