This week on Being Latino on Facebook: arts via mobile apps, monogamy, destination weddings, Being Gay and Latino, and Trayvon Martin.

Hop on a train or bus during any commute and chances are you’ll see the majority of the people around you with eyes on their phones. Sending work emails? Maybe. Texting? Possibly. But most likely they’re playing a game on a mobile app. One of the games recently rising in popularity is Draw Something. A game which allows artists to shine, and the rest of us to well…make something that’s hopefully recognizable.

Best Pix of the Week

Though monogamy is a relationship requirement for most of us, some say it’s an unnatural expectation and one used to ‘enslave’ another. Whether you agree or not

For those looking to take their commitment to another level, monogamous or not, the planning of the wedding can be both fun and a headache. Many are choosing to leave the headache part to someone else, and fly to a fun destination wedding in places such as the Dominican Republic.

The Trayvon Martin case is a tragedy that remains in the headlines, and rightly so. There are still many things for us to learn about why events like this can unfold in a civilized society, including facing that racism continues to exist and therefore must continue to be part of the conversation.
