The internet is a funny place. Everyone’s has something to say about everything and clicking on a link to actually read an article is optional. Why bother when you can share your wisdom based on a title? Such was the case this week with “Puerto Ricans Upset that Romney Kept Trying to Hand Everyone His Car Keys.”

The piece, a satirical one, recounts the events of Romney’s visit to the island. Though even the title hints at humor, it left many commenters dumbfounded at Romney’s supposed stupidity. The resulting comments were almost as silly as duck-lipped, bathroom mirror photos; almost.

But not all is lost. Most people do read and comment, for good or bad, on the actual topic at hand. They care about topics such as bullying our own. They answer the question, “Is America Reall the Greatest Country in the World?” with insightful commentary, such as: “If you love your country, truly love your country, you will be critical of her institutions so that they are improved, and people prosper.”

They help to renew our faith in the state of humanity and allow us to focus on what’s important, and by important I of course mean the entertainment of latest funny video: Salma Hayek’s Got Milk Adventure, anyone?
