This week on Being Latino on Facebook: New Hollywood It-Girl, Gina Rodriguez; Manufactured outrage; the cost of coffee; Mexican Mitt Romney, and voter apathy.

In an election year there doesn’t seem to be a better way to get voters to take notice than to drum up some controversy. This election year is no different. The manufactured cause causing all of the outrage? None other than the ever-convenient: birth control.

Best Pix of the Week

But if there’s something to be truly outraged about, other than gas prices, it’s the rising cost of coffee; bad news for cafecito-loving Latinos everywhere. Wonder what fake presidential candidate, Mexican Mitt Romney, has to say about that.

It probably wouldn’t matter because when it comes to elections, Latinos seem to have a chronic case of voter apathy. Though the sheer numbers indicate that our votes matter more than ever, it still may not be enough motivation on election day.
