This week on Being Latino on Facebook: SOPA, Obama and immigration, Latina beauty image, breastfeeding, and the choice of adoption.

First: Are the regulatory changes on immigration proposed by the president too little too late to appease the Latino votes this election year?

Many Latinas grow up in a world where on any given day her loved Mami or Abuela will push a full plate of food in front of her while simultaneously telling her she shouldn’t eat so much because she’s gained a little weight. For a Latina in the U.S., that confusion can be exacerbated by the images in the media giving her yet another potential ‘ideal’ to reach. How does a Latina find balance and find a healthy view of self?

Speaking of a Latina and her body: While breastfeeding is a beautiful and natural thing, is it acceptable to do it in public?

Finally, with all of the choices that a woman has to make in her life regarding her body and her life, and motherhood; the choice of what to do about an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy is  may be one of the most difficult. Is adoption a real alternative in the Latino culture?
