The statistics from the U.S. Department of Justice state that 90% of victims of human trafficking are female. In this day and age, apparently a woman is a commodity.

Latino-owned businesses in industries not normally seen as Latino are more than a symbol of the rise of the individual, they provide hope and inspiration to the rest of the community.

The 33 Hispanic Roman Catholic Bishops in the U.S. have written a letter to undocumented immigrants. It is a letter of gratitude that in one part states, “Despite your contributions to the well-being of our country, instead of receiving our thanks, you are often treated as criminals because you have violated current immigration laws.”
